Wood that's ready to burn when it arrives

Paul sources the hardwood locally, then cuts, splits and seasons it before it goes into the kilns. Kiln drying brings the moisture right down, which is what makes a log light easily, burn hot and stop smoking out your chimney.

Wet or part-seasoned wood is the single most common reason a fire won't behave. It's also cheaper to sell, which is why there's a lot of it about.
